Vaka's tire service is located at Héðinsgata 2, where most of Vaka's operations take place. We offer first-class service from well-trained staff, carried out on top-quality machines.

15–20 minutes
Tire change
A tire change usually takes 15–20 minutes, depending on the vehicle and tire size. We check whether the rims are damaged, inspect the tire valves, set the correct tire pressure and balance each tire. Wheel nut tightness should be checked after about 60 km of driving, and you can come to us and we will check it.

Unbalanced tires have a significant effect on handling and fuel consumption. As tires wear, an imbalance can develop that can be corrected. Impacts on the wheel assembly, for example against a curb or in a deep pothole, can also cause an imbalance.

Tires are among the most important safety equipment on your car. To get the longest life from them, it is important to rotate them between axles about every 10,000 kilometers. Front tires carry more load and wear faster. We recommend balancing all tires at the same interval.
